The invite mail contains a link. Clicking on the link will take you to account creation webpage. This page cannot be accessed without the link.
Account creation page requires user to fill in his Name, Email-id, Username and Password. Once these details are filled in correctly and a unique Username selected, saving the details creates an account on the portal.
The account, now, has to be validated.
On creation of account, portal sends a mail to the given email id for validation of the email id and the account. The validation mail has a link which, when clicked, validates the account.

The registration process asks for following details:

18. I have logged in but it is taking me to another form. What is this form?
Have you completed registration process? This process starts after completing the account creation process and validating the account. If you have not completed the six stage registration process, as soon as you log in, portal system will take you to the registration process left incomplete. E.g if you left registration incomplete at stage 3, on logging in, you will be taken to stage 3 of registration process.
19. During registration, I did not find my course in the course list shown by the drop down
menu. What should I do?
If the combination of Campus + Course Name + Year of completion of the course + Specialization is not available in the drop down course list, you can suggest a course. Click on the link attached to the sentence “Do note that if you cannot find your course, please add it by clicking on this Link”.
Note: It is mandatory to give at least one correct course details in Academic Details stage, to be able to go to the next stage of registration.
